Sounds for Your Soul by Stephanie Lekkos was founded out of a quest and passion for healing with sonic alchemy, meditation and fitness that began on Maui over a decade ago.
Seeking relief from trauma she had experienced, curiosity led Stephanie to a powerful healing session utilizing sound medicine. Understanding already that sound had an impact on her mood, Stephanie allowed her acupuncturist to apply tuning forks to severe scar tissue resulting from a surgery complication that had led to necrosis. She found these effective in dissolving scar tissue on the physical level, but relaxing and grounding her on a more spiritual and emotional level, as the quieting of her mind empowered her body’s natural ability to heal. This opened the door to additional experiences with sound healing which helped clear obsessive thoughts about traumatic events, reexamine toxic relationships, rediscover her true inner beauty and self-worth, and ultimately gain clarity on many aspects of her life.
This highly personal experience was the foundation for the completion of a variety of sound healing courses. Stephanie trained with a wide selection of instruments, and relied on her intuition to fine-tune her practice. This practice now includes personalized progressions through more than twenty instruments both ancient and modern including Tibetan bowls, Crystal bowls, tuning forks, chakapas, gongs, and drums for her clients.
Stephanie is called to heal in rehabilitation centers and she continues to develop specific programs for that purpose as well as sound for pre & post surgery patients, bonding for couples, parents with children, opening the mind to emotional intelligence and the heart to love more openly and deeply. Her client testimonials praise her gentle, empathetic and intuitive approach to a calm, immersive healing experience.
